Compared with carbon steel
The density of carbon steel is slightly higher than that of ferritic and martensitic stainless steel, and slightly lower than austenitic stainless steel;
The resistivity is increased according to carbon steel, ferrite type, martensitic shape and austenitic stainless steel.
3, the line expansion coefficient of the size of the order is similar, austenitic stainless steel is the highest and the smallest carbon steel;
4, carbon steel, ferrite shape and martensitic stainless steel has magnetism, austenitic stainless steel non-magnetic, but its cold processing hardening generated martensite phase change will produce magnetism, can be used to remove the martensite tissue and restore its non-magnetic.
Austenitic stainless Steel has the following characteristics compared to carbon steel:
1 high resistivity, about 5 times times of carbon steel.
2 the large linear expansion coefficient is 40% higher than that of carbon steel, and with the increase of temperature, the numerical value of line expansion coefficient is correspondingly increased.
3 Low thermal conductivity, about 1/3 of carbon steel.
